For nearly 2,000 years, followers of Jesus have celebrated the hope found in a poor Jewish carpenter from the ancient Middle East. Why? Because on Easter we celebrate the truly unimaginable — that this man died, and three days later rose again from the dead, offering life and hope to the whole world.
This Easter, City of Shalom will gather for one special service at the historic Booker T. Washington Theatre in downtown Rocky Mount. Join us for singing, a short message about what the resurrection means for our lives today, and a chance to experience our growing community.

Planning Your Visit for Easter at City of Shalom
We would love for you to join us this Easter as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and the hope it brings to our lives today. Whether church is familiar to you or something new you’re exploring, we want your visit to feel welcoming, meaningful, and easy to plan.
What Time?
Our Easter Service begins at 4:30 PM at the historic Booker T. Washington Theatre in downtown Rocky Mount.
What to Expect
Our gathering will center on celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and why it still matters today. During the service you can expect:

Baptisms as people celebrate new life in Christ
After the service, we invite you to stay and celebrate with us at an Easter dinner. It will be a chance to enjoy good food and spend more time connecting with the City of Shalom community.
What About Kids?
Our Kids Ministry will be operating that Sunday with safe and engaging spaces prepared for children from infants through 3rd grade.
Kids will:

What Should I Wear?
Come as you are. At City of Shalom you’ll see people dressed in everything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and suits. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
